family life stories to treasure
My wonderful job as a photographer reminds me over and over again how precious and fragile life is, how precious the people around us are and how fast time moves us on. If I can capture that one moment in time for you as life is now then I have achieved everything I ever set out to do. I want for you to be able to look at your photos in the years to come and remember and feel the joy of that precious time, for your children to look through your family album and giggle at the silly faces they pulled or the funny hat you made them wear! Capturing images that fill you with joy, images that are timeless and that you will look back on in the years to come and will still make you smile or laugh is what it's all about. For me it is a huge privilege to help you preserve these special family moments.
How it works
Family shoots are lots of fun! I do everything possible to make your session fun for your family from start to finish. My photography style is creative and timeless and fun, using natural light and relaxed poses to create beautiful dreamy and timeless images that you will treasure.
Family sessions tend to last between 1-2 hours so I can spend time getting to know you and putting you at ease infront of the camera. To get the best out of your shoot I will try to control a few elements, LIGHT being the most important starting point. Whilst on location I am always looking for where the light is fabulous and work from there. I will also consider the background environment and place you all together so that the scene works well. From there I tend to let you just be. I may ask you to get closer together, look at each other or get someone to do something silly. You may not even look at the camera throughout the whole shoot because what I will be looking for is natural, authentic moments. My family shoots are relaxed and unobtrusive capturing the heart of your family.
It is important to me that you and your family can relax and have fun in a space you enjoy being. There is always plenty to keep the children entertained... finding sticks, jumping in puddles and blowing dandelion clocks. It is all very informal with minimal posing and no rules. You are you and that's what I want to see.
